Season 2 (Rookie)
The second season the Bulldogs
finished strong with a .500 record but the loss of stars
Todd Sprinkle, Mitch Gettle
and goalie Mike Mooney took it's
toll on the season to follow.
Season
3 (Rookie)
The Bulldogs third season
was a disaster as goalie problems and a short bench only allowed
the Dogs to have one win.
Seasons
4 and 5 (Rookie)
With the acquisition of goalie
Andy Falenski, Aaron
Jamison and the return of Todd Sprinkle
and Tim Garlick and with the additions
of Sean Robinson, Jim
Kopec and John Falenski the
Bulldogs completed their first winning season ever in their fourth
season to finish with a 8-3 record and followed it up with an
8-2-1 record in their 5th season.
Season
6 (Novice)
As the team entered it's sixth
season it keeps it's strong line-up and continued to be a force
in the league. With the addition of former Bulldog,
Matt Wiest and the addition of Tim
Foreman and Brett Bentz the
Dogs add depth that they have never had in the past and expect
to be competitive in the move to the Novice league. The Dogs finished
their first Novice League competition with a 5-10-0 record.
Season
7 (Novice)
For season #7, the Dogs added
more depth to the team with the acquisition of Mike
Murray, Brooks Kehler and
Nate Talley. They also have John
Rudy returning to the team. Although losing original Dogs
Tim Garlick and
Ed Lenker, this is by far the best Bulldogs lineup ever.
The Bulldogs completed season 7 with a record of 10-3-2 and made
the playoffs for the first time in team history. Wining their
first ever playoff game in 3 overtimes, battling back from a 3
goal deficit twice the Dogs lost their next playoff game to end
their best season ever.
Season
8 (Novice)
Turned out to be a complete
disaster for the Dogs as they finished the season with a 2-12-1
record. The team added former players, John
Minarich, John Falenski and
season 2 player Matt Gilbert. The
Bulldogs desperately missed stars Sean Robinson,
Brooks Kehler, Todd
Sprinkle, Nate Talley, Mike Murray
and Tim Foreman.
Season
9 (Novice)
The Bulldogs once again
struggled through another season because of drastic team changes.
Over 10 player changes made this happen. The dogs lost their top
all-time offensive players in Aaron Jamison
and Jim Kopec. They will also
lost Matt Gilbert, Jon
Minarich and original Bulldog Brett
Kerman. They did pick up some new faces from the York league,
Brian Cassagio, Carl
Anderson, Josh Smith, Mark
Baum, and Ray Krzywulak. But
with such a drastic change in line-up it was clear from game one
that the Dogs would struggle, not due to lack of talent but lack
of experience together. The Dogs did play well in the last few
games of the season but too little too late.
Season
10 (Novice)
Season 10 was an up and down season
for the Bulldogs. With a rough start the Bulldogs managed to string
together some wins in the mid season only to lose 5 straight and
take their play-off hopes down to the wire. Needing wins in their
last to games the Dogs pulled off two incredible victories only
to get eliminated from the play-offs due to a standings error
on Twin Ponds part. The Bulldogs were officially eliminated from
the play-offs after a review of the score sheets to end the season
1 point short of a play-off spot.
Season
11 (Novice)
Season started with two loses
for the Dogs but was followed with a 6 game winning streak. The
Dogs finished the first half of the season with a 7-3-0 record.
But as in other seasons the second half of the season hurt the
Dogs, with injuries and losses of key players the Bulldogs held
on to make the playoffs. Finishing the season with a 9-8-3 record
the Bulldogs lost to the Bladerunners 8-6 in the first round of
the playoffs.
Season
12 (Novice)
Season 12 started out very
well for the Bulldogs. Basically adding the same team from Season
11 plus the addition of Dale Stipe
and Brad Ross and the return of Josh
Smith in goal to replace injured Andy
Falenski the Dogs skated to a 5-3-1 record in the first
half of the season. As the season unfolded, adding the loss of
Tim Foreman and Brett
Kerman in the process, some suspensions and Saturday games
that caused roster problems the Dogs struggled the last half of
the season winning only 2 out of the last 8 games of the season.
Although making the playoffs the Bulldogs lost to Bud Light in
3 OT's to end their season.
Season
13 (Novice)
Season 13 was a positive season
and one of the best for the Bulldogs in their history. With the
return of Andy Falenski as goalie
the Dogs rolled to a 11-6-3 regular season record. However the
season paid it's toll on the roster. Losing
Tim Foreman and Brad Ross
to the war in Afghanistan and the injury to Aaron
Jamison. The Dogs struggled in their last 5 games going
2-3-0. In the playoffs the Dogs won their round one game to Siberian
6-5 but could not handle the Phantoms in a 7-1 defeat ending their
season.
Season
14 (Novice)
The Bulldogs continued their
success in Season 14 with a 14-6-2 record, and as in Season 13
they rolled to their best ever regular season in Bulldogs history.
Although losing great defenseman Thomas
Beck and the loss of Dale Stipe.
The non-return of Brad Ross, Tim
Foreman and the relocation of Aaron
Jamison the Bulldogs picked up Joe
Muzzy and continued with the core of the team from previous
seasons. Josh Smith returned as goalie.
The Dogs dominated most games and their 5 losses were only by
a total of 9 goals. The Dogs finished third, were unbeaten in
their last 5 games with a 3-0-2 record. They won their round one
playoff game in overtime over the Yellow Jackets. However the
Fire Fighters kept the Dogs from their first ever championship
round with a tough 6-3 win.
Season 15: Player
losses: Sean Robinson, Jim Grandi and the retirement of Chuck
Lambert. Player Additions: Steve Yingst
Season
15 (Novice)
With a start of unbeaten in
12 games Season 15 looked to be the season of the Dogs. However
a 4-6 finish to the season including a 2-1 loss to the Traktor
in round 2 of the playoffs ended the Dogs hopes for championship
status. The Dogs skated basically a season 14 team with the loss
of Jim Grandi, Dale
Stipe but the additions of Peter
Gawron and Jim Muzzy strengthened
the Dogs ice presence. Finishing second in Novice B the Dogs could
not get by Siberian in the second round of the playoffs. Ending
the season with a 13-6-3 record.
Season
16 (Novice)
The Bulldogs started season
16 with a woeful 1-4-1 record in their first 6 games. With questions
of line, goalie and personnel changes the Dogs managed to finally
reach the .500 level in week 9 with a win over the hot Blue Jacks
6-2. a dismal loss to the Faulkner who was 0-11-0 in week 11 the
Dogs seemed destine for a finish of embarrassing levels. But,
finishing the season unbeaten in 7 games including shut-outs against
the #2 and # 1 teams the Dogs ended in 4th place. With a decisive
4-1 victory over the #3 Blue Jacks in round 1 the Dogs were beaten
with 24 seconds left in OT against the Traktor in round 2 in a
thrilling 6-5 loss in round 2 of the playoffs ending in an incredible
fashion a dismal season for the Dogs.

Bulldogs Championship Team
August 2005
Season 17 (Novice)

|
After starting the season with
only 1 win in their first 5 games and a 3-6-1 record half
way through the season the Bulldogs put together one of
the greatest ever second halves in Twin Ponds Adult League
history. Winning their last 5 regular season games the Bulldogs
finished 6th and opened the playoffs with the leagues best
Night Stalkers. With an impressive 4-1 win the Dogs moved
to round 2 against their round 2 playoff Nemesis Siberian
Traktor. The Dogs jumped out out a 2 -0 lead and went on
to reach the finals for the first time with a 3-2 win. In
the League Championship Series against the Blue Jacks the
Dogs swept the series with 3-2 and 3-1 wins over the Jacks
to get their first ever championship. Dogs elected Goalie
Mike Knowlton as their MVP and defensman Jeff Thomas poked
home the Championship goal as the Dogs celebrated their
1st ever Championship. Wining 9 in a row to end the season,
this is by far the most memorable season in Dogs history.

Season
18 (Adult B)
Trying to defend a championship is
a hard thing to do and the Dogs found out early in the season
just how hard that is. Managing a 6-4-0 record after losing the
first 2 games of the season the Dogs felt confident in another
title run. But a skid of 1-3-0 mid season brought the Dogs back
to reality. However, was the maginc of a season ago still there?
The Dogs, as they did in the title run won their last 5 games
of the season to clinch a playoff spot. With Back to Back titles
looming the Dogs fell in the first round to the Ballistik Blades
and ended the season with a 12-9-0 record.
